Roche Emmets 2-5 St. Kevin’s 8-17
A ruthlessly strong St. Kevin’s had too much for our U16 girls under the Roche lights on Friday night.
Despite a good start, which included a goal by prolific midfielder Erin Gorham, Kevin’s soon found their groove, scoring some fine points along with well-taken majors.
Roche were unfortunate not to have registered more, hitting the woodwork on several occasions, as Lauren Briscoe and Ellen Smith acted as the side’s chief scorers.
Given the majority of the team are either U15 or U14, some of the play was impressive given the circumstances.
