Roche Emmets 1-4 St. Bride’s/St. Mochta’s 3-15
The U15 boys saw Thursday night’s game with another mid-Louth combination get away from them in the second half as they fell to defeat.
Again without some key players, the lads had opportunities to be much closer than their 0-7 to two half-time deficit – Andrew McArdle scoring both of the team’s registers.
Ronan Bradley played extremely well during the first half, while Alex McArdle and Josh McGuinness battled and were serial ball winners.
However, by failing to convert, they were unable to prevent a free-scoring Mochta’s from building an advantage, which they extended considerably into the bottom goals during the second period.
Seán Conlon hit a major for the hosts, while Luca Craig-Haye and Carl Meegan added points, though Emmets saw their Division Two campaign draw to a close on a disappointing note.
