Roche Emmets 2-4 Kilkerley Emmets 1-12
The U16 girls concluded their grading phase in Roche on Wednesday night, falling short against Kilkerley.
While Eddie Briscoe’s outfit kept Kilkerley honest to the finish, they struggled to match the scoring rate of the visitors.
Ciara Jane Whyte and Rachel McKay were significant absentees, while the injury-enforced departure of Naoise McGeeney proved significant to the outcome.
Up front, Lauren Briscoe kicked some nice points and Ellen Smith’s first half goal ensured Roche were never far away.
Emmets finish their group in second place with three wins from five.
